The web wakes up to LocateTV

Happy Public Beta Day, TV and film fans everywhere. As promised, everyone can now find out when and where a programme, film or actor is next showing on TV, online and DVD, specific to their region. LocateTV’s search is smart, the speed is much improved and the redesigned embeds are up and running so users can share the content with their friends and readers.

It’s great to see the wealth of opinion already out there, especially as the site is still beta and we’re still looking for lots of debate to prioritise what we change and develop for launch.

Just a few examples include Janko Roettgers claiming to be a big fan of the widgets at P2P Blog, Phil Bradley rating this ‘nice nifty little free product’, Information Overlord Scott Vine kindly exhorting media lovers to ‘make Lottie’s day’ (you know you want to) and Rob Buckley of The Medium Is Not Enough debating widget design. Longtime fans Jeffro 2pt0, Sledge from evelovesporkchops and Zach from Symbian In Motion have also all announced public beta in gratifyingly excited prose, and quote of the day comes from the lovely Lisa McGarry at Unreality TV:
