Show me the money

More blogging about LocateTV, this time from technology trailblazer Dameon Welch-Abernathy at The PhoneBoy Blog.
Using the site to find out the next US showing of his son’s new favourite show Dirty Jobs, Dameon also comments that:

In a happy coincidence, we should have a ‘new series starting this week’ panel on the front page of the site by then, which should make catching the hot new shows from the very start a piece of cake.
Dameon raises a couple of good queries other Locaters might be wondering about. First, paucity of online content: yes, we know it isn’t all on there yet, but it will be, and it’s increasing every day. We will have all the major net suppliers on there soon, but it’s a particularly messy task because the content they supply is often badly ordered or tagged so making it searchable takes a little while.
Then there’s RSS feeds, a common request: and once again we agree this is a priority once the basic search function is as flawless and rich as we can make it. Until then, try putting embeds of your favourite programmes or actors onto your own page for a do-it-yourself personalised programming hub.
Finally, he kindly worries about our finances considering we provide all this Locating wonderment for free. Don’t fret. Longer term, revenue will come from (discreet, relevant) advertising and partnerships, and for the moment our backers are very confident that we’re going to be massive and repay their faith in full. Which is of course self-evident to everyone out there enjoying LocateTV.
Of course, any donations for beer money are always gratefully received. This is thirsty work.
Lottie
