So, it has begun. Emperor George Lucas has begun work on a Star Wars TV spin-off. Having wrung every possible ounce out of the film franchise, Lucas is creating a whole new series that stands alone from the iconic movies. CrunchGear quotes the man himself:

This of course means a whole new range of spin-off toys, books, games, lunchboxes, socks and novelty pencil-sharpeners - the possibilities are as vast as the universe itself.

Cynicism aside, the orignial movies still hold up to scrutiny as offering some of the most iconic lines and characters of our times. Yes, it’s time to prepare.
