Fansite of the week: Heroes-TV.com

HeroesHeroes: it’s epic. People are talking about it everywhere. US, UK, water cooler or online forum, everyone wants a piece of the cheerleader. Which means that there are a lot of Heroes blogs out there on the net, and it can be difficult to sort the well-written, interesting and informative sites from the oh-look-Hayden-Panettiere-is-really-cute-in-this-episode variety.

This segment is usually called Blog of the Week but Heroes-TV.com is so, so much more than a blog. It’s an institution. We’re talking in-depth episode guides and commentary, fan fiction, character wikis for members to update the story of each hero and a media category with photos, artwork and images from the graphic novels. The forums are full of members discussing theories, spoilers and relationships; with 2887 topics so far, there’s bound to be something for everyone, be you a Mohinder-hater or Petrelli-lover.

There’s a real sense of community here, with members contributing to every aspect of the site, as is suggested by the inspired tagline: Where ordinary people become extraordinary fans. An epic site for an epic show, with a nonethelesss intimate feel.

So, if this site were a film, what would it be? A Life Less Ordinary
