Familiar faces

Following on from last week’s post where Pete was using LocateTV to calculate the hours of Star Trek on TV, I ran a query to calculate the top 30 people most on TV in the next couple of weeks.
Of course, the results aren’t perfect, because our data isn’t completely comprehensive yet. This goes beyond ’simply’ ensuring that the listings information for all the different US and UK networks is in place. The data for each show does not necessarily show every actor involved, especially in genres like talk shows which may not list all their guests. However, while our data improves it is still a pretty interesting insight into who is most on TV - and it’s less likely to be big stars than the character actors cropping up on regularly repeated shows.

For those wondering who on earth some of these people are, Mila Kunis is in That 70s Show and Family Guy, Sarah Chalke is in Scrubs and Charlie Sheen, Angus T Jones and Jon Cryer are all in Two and a Half Men. It looks like we have Paramount Comedy to thank for the top five.
Who would you think would be on the list? The three Friends on there hardly come as a surprise, but is there another face who always seems to haunt your TV watching? These kind of statistics will provide good talking points as our data coverage gets more comprehensive and more accurate.
