Shout it from the rooftops: the latest site updates are now live. In addition to the amendments in the change log there is a new (hidden) search page for you to use which is trialling our improved search function.
I almost want to put this whole post in bold, with lots of exclamation marks, but I’ll [...]

So, we have a compromise. Thanks to all the feedback from our private beta triallists we’ve come up with an embed design mark 2 which seems to accommodate the majority of the comments we’ve received: simpler, smaller and less prominently branded with darker colours. Of course it’s not perfect, and this isn’t the absolute finished [...]

See how this genuinely collborative Web 2.0 (or are we on 3.0 now?) consumer-as-CEO business model works?
You say you want smaller, better, different LocateTV embeds. We say: Rob, go design us some smaller, better, different embeds. Rob says: here they are. We say: valued LocateTV users, here they are! What do you think? Are they [...]

The Stage is a bit of an institution in the UK. Many a time have I sat on a London tube and watched a pretty, shiny, anxious young creature dolled up for an audition avidly scouring the print version of this entertainment rag. The online version is equally well-informed, and particularly strong thanks to its [...]

As we said in yesterday’s post, the vast majority of our private beta feedback involves enriching and refining the quality of our basic search function.
Long gone are the days when deciding between Google, Yahoo and Lycos to power your search seemed like a heady choice. We’re only too aware that the search engine market is [...]

‘Blog of the Week’, you ask? Yes, our blog now has a ‘feature’ (whoop). Now that we’re in private beta, we’re collaborating with other TV, film and tech bloggers and posters in order to get feedback about exactly what they think about, and want from, the site as it moves towards launch. Our whole idea [...]

Picture the scene: eight of the UK’s coolest TV and film bloggers, four of us from LocateTV, M&S chocolate mini-rolls, a bunch of computers, a lot of raucous debate and discussion (and thankfully a lot of enthusiasm), all rounding up with dinner and alcohol (and more raucous debate and discussion) in a restaurant in Soho.
Yes, [...]

We keep on emphasising that we want the site to be clean and simple, without flashing extras, banners, ‘hot celebrity gossip’ or any such white noise. There are plenty of TV and film sites out there where you can find out pretty much anything except for reliable information about when and when your favourite shows [...]

The first move toward private beta has been advanced like a virgin pawn upon the shining chessboard of Web 2.0.
Next week we are bringing together a handful of the UK’s most informed and enthusiastic TV and film bloggers in a very cool venue in London (you know who you are, you lucky few) to [...]

Will LocateTV become the Google of TV? Perhaps if we strip away the billions of dollars of income, and the way the very name of the company has become synonymous with its function to an extent almost unimaginable in the heady days of web 0.5, we might stand a chance of justifying such a bold [...]
